Rejection

It is bound to happen in all areas of life, but when it your precious writing is rejected it is as if you are being rejected. I don't know why I would think that everyone would love to have my work as a part of their Christmas experience. I get so much more positive feedback than negative, but it is the negative feedback that sticks.
My only solace is this is what makes my skin tougher, my heart softer and my writing cleaner. I hope that with each rejection of my work I grow as a writer and not shrink as a whiner remembering that I just love to write. This is not about accolades or praise from others, but a direct response to the call that God put on my life.
I hope this encourages another writer someday.

Happy writing!

Brook,
Remember that God Himself gave you the talent for such beautiful words, and please take heart in knowing that He knows the plans that He has for you, plans for you to succeed and prosper.
When He called me to start Hometown Journey Magazine almost four years ago I was a realtor. Then... He gave me all the skills that I needed to do what He needed me to do.
Do not loose heart, know that He can and He will open the doors. And do NOT let the doubters carry you into the current of loosing faith. Know that you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you.
I could tell from the moment that you submitted your articles to Hometown Journey that you truly are blessed by God with a gift. Not many people use their gift for His Glory, and you WILL be rewarded.
Do it girl! I believe in you and more so than that, HE DOES!
Please keep me posted on each of your successes.

Sincerely Your Friend at Hometown Journey Magazine,
Angela K. Motz
